Over the weekend, I decided to clear some space in my room and create a Craft Corner. It looks really good, and it’s really easy to find everything now, because usually everything’s spread all over my house and I can’t find a thing.
I saw a lot of people creating their own notice boards to help organise their equipment and what they are doing during the week.
I made a little pocket to hold some of my knitting needles. To make the pocket, I cut the sleeve off of an old top, and sewed it along the bottom, and then pinned it onto the board and put the needles inside. The only reason that the bottom has a lot of pins in is because the needles thought it’d be a fun idea to pierce through the sleeve and fall down until the head of the needle got stuck, and the rest of the needle was handing out of the bottom. The pins seemed to fix it (for now, anyway)
From my art foundation course last year I had a lot of left over pegs (yeah, I don’t know why either, but they’re cute so it works well) and decided that they would be a good way to sort out my ribbon’s.
Also, at the bottom of the notice board, I have a day to day reminder and to do list (as you can see the only thing I’m thinking about this week is the new year). I ran out of pegs, so I had to cut out Saturday and Sunday.
I tend to loose scissors a lot, so I thought it’d be a good idea to put them on here so I always know where they are. I did this by using two push pins and putting them in between the finger holes so the scissors sit on them nicely.
When I was in The Works today, I found these cute little branches with LED battery lights for only £1:49, and I just had to get them! I bought a little vase to go with it, and I think it makes a lovely little accessory.
I went a little mad with the sticky labels; but now I know where everything is without causing (too much) of a mess.
MUM! PHINEAS AND FERB HAVE TAKEN OVER MY CRAFT CORNER!
So, a few of my friends for Christmas got a Kindle, Ipad or other type of tablet and I’ve just bought myself a Kindle HD Fire and we were all discussing how expensive the socks and protectors are for them; also, aren’t that appealing. I was thinking that it’d be a good idea to knit some for my store and instead of just making a boring plain colour, making them as peoples favorite characters and fandoms. Would anybody be interested in this?
It’s been a hectic month; and I’ve got to apologize yet again for not blogging or posting more items to my folksy store, but a lot of my friends and family have put in orders for the Christmas holidays, and not to mention making a lot of hand made presents for my friends, which I will post later on today. I won’t be posting any more items to the store until the new year, but I’ll carry on blogging things that I’ve made this month, and hold polls to see what you would like to see next in store.
I hope everyone is having a great Christmas holiday!
So, this year I’ve decided to try and get a leg up on Christmas, and start making some gifts to sell and to give early. My day today consists of making cute little tree ornaments, around the house decorations, card holders, and much more. Be sure to check back when they’re up on Tiny Sparks!
If you’d like to see certain things in the shop (a certain fandom, gift, decorations, etc) please fly an inbox my way and I’ll try to get right onto it.
All of the products have been made, now all I need to do is set up the exhibit (photos will be on later this week). Hopefully, by the end of today the products will be on the shop, but I’ve had alot of difficulty with setting it up, but once products are on there, I will start blogging properly about what you can buy.
I hope to see you all at the exhibit on Wednesday at Warrington Collegiate!
