One of the Christmas presents that I made this year was a mini me for my boyfriend (it was more a jokey present) but I loved making it and it looks so good!)

HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYBODY!

I hope you all have a fantastic year and I wish you all the best.

I’ve got some pretty exciting times coming up in the upcoming year; In August I’m moving out and into my accommodation at uni and September I’m starting my SFX Animation course at Edge Hill University! And hopefully, I’m going to be doing a few craft fairs from Jan-August around England, which I’ll keep everybody posted about. By the middle of January, new items will be in store!

Over the weekend, I decided to clear some space in my room and create a Craft Corner. It looks really good, and it’s really easy to find everything now, because usually everything’s spread all over my house and I can’t find a thing.

I saw a lot of people creating their own notice boards to help organise their equipment and what they are doing during the week.

I made a little pocket to hold some of my knitting needles. To make the pocket, I cut the sleeve off of an old top, and sewed it along the bottom, and then pinned it onto the board and put the needles inside. The only reason that the bottom has a lot of pins in is because the needles thought it’d be a fun idea to pierce through the sleeve and fall down until the head of the needle got stuck, and the rest of the needle was handing out of the bottom. The pins seemed to fix it (for now, anyway)

From my art foundation course last year I had a lot of left over pegs (yeah, I don’t know why either, but they’re cute so it works well) and decided that they would be a good way to sort out my ribbon’s.

Also, at the bottom of the notice board, I have a day to day reminder and to do list (as you can see the only thing I’m thinking about this week is the new year). I ran out of pegs, so I had to cut out Saturday and Sunday.

I tend to loose scissors a lot, so I thought it’d be a good idea to put them on here so I always know where they are. I did this by using two push pins and putting them in between the finger holes so the scissors sit on them nicely.

When I was in The Works today, I found these cute little branches with LED battery lights for only £1:49, and I just had to get them! I bought a little vase to go with it, and I think it makes a lovely little accessory.

I went a little mad with the sticky labels; but now I know where everything is without causing (too much) of a mess.
